Villa Arezzo

Located on the rolling hills of Tuscany, the Villa castle is a fortified village dating back to the 1000`s, only a few km from Arezzo, at the border to the Chianti region.

The villa initially was a Longobard castle. Today, in the cellar in the rock, located underground, you will see the remains of that period. The fort, which was established in the first centuries after year 1000, was a strategic location for the defense of the population.  Many wars and story can be feeled in those walls. The Florentine Republic was struggling with Arezzo between XIII and XV centuries, but from 1340 the villa and the castle itself was the capital of Avane league, an independent village federation. In the following centuries, the property was enlarged and modified by the noble families of our territory.

In the villa, you can find a renowed restaurant, quoted on the most important restaurant guides. Here the chef who has a long high-level experience in gourmet cooking, works every day looking for new recipes in order to make the Tuscan cooking excellent, combining tradition, local products and refine research.
