The estate, “Small Luxury hotels of the world”, lies in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, south Tuscany. It is in a delightful natural setting of gently rolling hills carpeted in olive groves and vineyards that alternate rhythmically northwards to become dense Mediterranean macchia, mysterious, wild and often severe. Here the scents of the Tuscan countryside blend with the salty smell of the Mediterranean Sea, stimulating the senses and whispering to the soul.  The view from the estate stretches as far as the eye can see, to where the turquoise of the waves merges with the intense blue of the Tuscan sky.  As you gaze into the distance, you cannot fail to spy the ancient town on the coastline, which has been awarded the top score of "five blue sails" by the Legambiente guide and Touring Club Italiano due to its clear water, clean beaches and historic heritage.

The Estate has two main buildings, the Villa and the Fattoria, which are separated by a delightfully informal Winter Garden, made of wrought-iron and glass. Its charm is complementary to the loveliness of the Tuscan landscape, the bright colours of which can be viewed through the large windows. This is where the hotel lobby and reception are located.

Both the Villa and the Fattoria have undergone extensive rebuilding and restyling carried out under the supervision of architect editor of AD Italia.

The interior design is a perfect combination of the original rural style of the Medici residence and decorative, more ornamental French style, the aim being to express through the furnishings the intimate soul of Tuscany, with its warm colours, simplicity and uniqueness. The colours selected for the furnishings are consistent with this, with bright beige, the chromatic tones of dust and earth, ochre-yellow, vibrant orange and intense purple, which blend in perfectly with the Tuscan furniture and are highlighted by fine Florentine silk fabrics.

A refined setting, where nothing is left to chance, and one which conveys a sense of intimacy, to make the guests feel completely at home.

The Estate property is 1.250 acres with wine and olive oil production they use in the fine cuisine.

The chefs offer genuine Tuscan food, interpreted according to the style, the criteria of excellence and the philosophy of the great chef. There are two restaurants for the guests: the more informal, La Villa, with a veranda and garden which surround the striking swimming pool, and the Michelin-starred, which was once the antique granary of the Estate.
