Relais Siena

At the Relais hospitality is an art form, that can be seen through the origins of this historic residence. From the middle ages, the Relais served as an exclusive dining place for pilgrims travelling on the Via Francigena, on the route from Canterbury to Rome, passing through the beautiful woods surrounding this period residence at stone’s throw from Monteriggioni, a jewel of the province of Siena. Just a few miles from the region’s top destinations, such as Chianti, Siena, Florence, the Val di Chiana and Val d’Orcia.

Say “I do” in the town hall of Monteriggioni, or beautiful Siena one of Europe`s best kept medieval villages will make your day really something to remember!

The view from the Relais is quite amazing; the vivid colours of the forest, the rolling hills tracing the contours of the landscape, and the sky that seems to merge with the earth creating unparallel scenery. On the horizon, the city of Siena stands out like a Renaissance painting: a truly breathtaking sight. Totally restored with fine architectural style in the timeless charm of stonework, comfortable suites and apartments, swimming pool in panoramic position, restaurant (Marquee can host up to 150 guests), courtyard, garden spaces and an excellent small Spa.

Three types of spacious Suites and apartments that embody the concept of hospitality; free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, a bathroom courtesy set, late 19th-century hand crafted furniture in typical Tuscan style.

On clear days, the pool area is the ideal vantage point: set in stone like a diamond in a jewel, it overlooks the Relais and provides a scenic view of the Senese hills.

The tradition of this place, tied to hospitality for pilgrims, takes on a new form in Relais Spa. The Centre is made up of welcoming areas, including the Turkish bath, sauna, heated pool with waterfall and whirlpools, sensory showers and a relaxation area to enjoy a purifying herbal tea at the end of your wellness session.

There are specific treatments and massages for couples, ideal as a romantic gift to indulge in during your stay with your other half. You can choose from a wide range of massages or opt for a comprehensive spa package.

The indoor restaurant is intimate where the recipes vary according to the season and creativity of the chef, so you’ll always taste new appetising dishes. The ingredients come only from Relais own gardens or are delivered daily by suppliers from the local area, selected for their extremely high-quality products.

During rehearsal dinner /Tuscan nigh evening the guest can try out their own pizza together with our pizzaiolo using the original wood-burning pizza oven!
