Wine Castle

This splendid ancient castle, built on an Etruscan site, lies in a secret valley nestled in one of the last undiscovered corners of Tuscany - the Amiata, near to the UNESCOs valley Val D Orcia, south of Siena. 

Our team design idyllic setting for your wedding, from a grand wedding banquet in the castle's courtyard or under the loggia, to an intimate family reunion in the spectacular candlelit dining hall to a romantic wedding in the 13th century chapel, all set against the backdrop of the majestic Tuscan countryside. Once you step through the wrought iron gates you will find a welcoming homely atmosphere coupled with the grandeur of an ancient castle. Hidden in a secret valley, surrounded by vineyards, waterfalls and mountains, for your unique and unforgettable event. 

The owners produce highly acclaimed wines that represent the perfect relationship between man, nature, earth and climate; a symbiosis based on observation and respect, sensibility and discipline. Just 30km from Montalcino, this undiscovered corner of Tuscany borders on the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG area.

An authentic Tuscany, which has remained intact over the centuries and unknown to both development and mass tourism. In these areas, farmers have continued to produce traditional products in the Tuscan agriculture in accordance with the rhythms and traditions. 

Staying at this venue is as being invited into a private home, old-fashioned Residenza d'Epoca .8 bedrooms in the main castle accommodate up to 16 people and there are several comfortable sitting rooms and a library.

The designed swimming pool is overlooking the vineyards and some of the region's oldest olive trees planted here at Templar time. The old trees have something special with its crooked shape. The cultivar (variety) is Olivastra Seggianese which has a high level of antioxidants and which won international prices. We recommend a visit of Emily Young "angel” placed between green cypresses giving you those great shoots on the big day. 

We will of course bring you to the heart of the home, where Charlotte the owner and the castle’s great winemaker will tell you her story. We want to mention that we only use the castle's high-quality wines for all meals.

It’s our popular Slow food chef that will come for the arrangement’s meals, from easy going dishes to Tuscan nights with pizza made in the stone oven, to an elegant banquet during your wedding dinner. 

There are many places to visit; the Romanesque abbey of Sant Antimo; the Renaissance City jewel of Pienza; and the famous gardens of La Foce created by Iris Origo. The stunning medieval towns such as Santa Fiora, Castel del Piano, Pitigliano, Sorano and Siena to mention some of them. The hot springs and spas of, Bagno Vignoni and Bagni San Filippo are easy day trips. For walking, there are many easy treks in the valley.
