Borgo Orcia

If you dream of a romantic Italian wedding in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, then Hamlet Orcia could be the venue for you.  A private medieval village, with a dominant position overlooking the Sienese crete, situated right in the heart of the Orcia alley, chosen by the Unesco, between Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino, well-known for the local food and high quality on DOCG wines. The Hamlet relates to the official Tuscan bridleways which also form part of the via Francigena; an important pilgrimage route between Rome and Canterbury. 

The Villa surrounded by an Italian-style garden stands out among the six stone farmhouses with 32 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with discreet authority. 

There are two swimming pool on-site as well as over 800 hectares of farmland, consisting of woods, fields and a small vineyard an ideal spot for relaxation following the wedding celebrations.  

Overlooking the main square, the heart of the village, the old barn’s terrace sits under the shade of a great tree and is covered with a magnificent wisteria. 

Inside the old barn there are two large reception halls which can also be used as dining rooms. During the summer evenings, you can enjoy a traditional village atmosphere, sitting by the table under the shade of garden umbrellas. Moreover, in-between the trees, the little church, where we can arrange catholic ceremonies. 

Say your vows in the garden with amazing panoramic views, can’t be better than that! 

After the ceremony you and your guests will proceed to the sweeping lawns for reception drinks before heading by torchlight to the main square where you will enjoy a delicious meal in the illuminated gazebos, prepared by the in-house caterers. 

Around the hamlet nature is the protagonist, yet just a few kilometres away you can find villages and towns of great historical interest, such as Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, Montepulciano and Siena. An authentic Tuscany, which has remained intact over the centuries, unknown as it is for both development purposes and mass tourism. In these areas, farmers have continued to produce traditional products in the Tuscan agriculture in accordance with the rhythms and traditions.
