Castle Leone

The castle is situated on a hilltop, in the heart of the central Tuscany area, two passes from Siena. It overlooks the valley known for the wine production of Brunello di Montalcino docg. “This charming castle” is surrounded by the Tuscan colors all year long, it lies in the midst of the famous “crete”, one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tuscany. The 13th century fortress was used as a summer residence of Pope Alexander VII. Nowadays it has maintained its previous splendour offering its guests the opportunity to enjoy peace and tranquillity in an historic setting of great beauty.

The lovely garden surrounded by cypresses is the perfect spot making your ceremony an unforgettable one at the castle, or you can choose a civil marriage in the amazing town hall of Siena. 

The Castle has 20 rooms and suites, furnished tastefully, each with fantastic views of the rolling hills and the famous “crete” in the Siennese countryside. With a short distance of 5 km, the nearby hotel has an agreement with the castle management for extra guests. All the castle spaces are included at the ground fee only for you and your guests.

They only use high quality ingredients organically produced on the nearby farms or supplied by local producers of the territory, capable of pleasing the most refined palates while at the same time respecting the flavours typical of the local cuisine. 

From the villa there are many excursion opportunities, including Siena, Monteriggioni, Colle Val d'Elsa and San Gimignano, Montalcino, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni which are featured on UNESCO's list of world heritage sites. Within a short drive to the most famous Chianti Classico vineyards, castles and hamlets.
