Borgo Il Poggio offers an extraordinary wedding atmosphere from intimate weddings to large number wedding receptions. The hamlet is in the heart of the Tuscan countryside near one of Europe's best-preserved medieval towns, Siena, and in a short distance to the towns of San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and the wine district of Chianti Classico DOCG. 

If you dream of a romantic Italian wedding in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, then il Poggio could be the venue for you. We arrange both civil (with mayor) and symbolic ceremony with a celebrant or a priest at the garden or in the courtyard, or just with a few kilometres you can say “I do” in one of Italy's most unique historic buildings, San Galgano. 

A historic 14th century borgo that offers a magical atmosphere, surrounded by green and rolling hills, timeless sceneries of this medieval residence-village and for its elegant interiors.

Each spacious apartment has exposed wooden beams, and some feature stone fireplaces, a fully equipped kitchenette in a rustic yet refined style with a pleasant atmosphere.

The hamlet has large outdoor pool and terrace, tennis and basketball courts and free mountain bike hire, Wi-Fi connection in all areas, restaurant and wine bar. 

The restaurant offers dinner by candlelight, and in summer seasons all meals are served on the terrace by the pool where the chef delights our guest with Tuscan specialties to each season.

The Terrace surrounded in the flowers overlooking the Siena hills, and a swimming pool illuminated even at night to prolong the festivities, will make your day truly unique.

From the hamlet there are many excursion opportunities, including Colle Val d'Elsa and San Gimignano, which are featured on UNESCO's list of world heritage sites. It takes about 20 minutes by car to the center of Siena. Within a short drive to the most famous Chianti Classico vineyards, castles and hamlets, the village of San Gimignano, Volterra and not least Florence.
